By this time tomorrow we will know whether 21-time grand slam champion Novak Djokovic can equal Nadal’s 22 slam titles and make it a record-breaking tenth championship down under. It seems almost inevitable, doesn’t it?

Standing in his way is Greece’s talented Stefanos Tsitsipas, the Greek #1 with a 3-10 win-loss record against the Serbian. Tsitsipas will take heart from his recent performances against the talented Karen Khanchanov,  Jiri Lehecka and Jannik Sinner in previous rounds.

The best chance the Greek superstar has against the formidable Djokovic is to take the match to the nine-time Australian Open champion. The first set will be an indication of the Greek’s chances of lifting his maiden slam. Djokovic holds a virtually unassailable record of 294-8 (wins-losses) in slams after winning the first set.

We simply can’t look past the Serb and have to say he is the firm favorite to win his tenth AO title.

Prediction: Djokovic to win in 4 sets
